Overwhelmed by Motherhood?
|
Being a new mother can be one of the
most
exciting, joyful and meaningful experiences in life.
However, many mothers also feel stress, loneliness,
anxiety and confusion. It is highly beneficial for
mothers to give themselves permission to understand
both the joys and challenges associated with their
experience as a mother. It can be difficult for
mothers to find time and energy to connect with
their own needs and identity.
You're not alone!
"Maternal Matters" is a support group where
Moms find great comfort and relief from others going
through the same experiences. The group provides
an environment for mothers to express and explore
their unique experience of being a mother. It's a
place to discuss the tremendous changes of
motherhood and gain guidance and support as
families develop and grow.
Themes of the Group:
- The unique role of motherhood
- Child development
- Marital relationships and co-parenting
- How your own upbringing impacts your family
today
- Baby blues
- Deciding to return to work or stay home
- Body issues
