The Armonk Outdoor Art Show: The Best in Fine Art and Crafts

The much celebrated Armonk Outdoor Art Show, now in its 46th year, features a collection of the finest art and crafts from 190 juried artists from 35 states, France and Canada. This year's show includes 40 new exhibitors and showcases artwork representing seven categories, including watercolors, oils/acrylics, photography, sculpture, mixed media, graphics/drawing/pastels, and fine crafts including jewelry, leather, raku and more.

Selected from over 500 artists who applied for inclusion in the show, participants are chosen by a jury of 14 experts in the art world. The Show is ranked 1st of the Top Fine Art and Craft Shows in New York State by The Harris List and is ranked in the top 1% of all outdoor art shows in the U.S. by Sunshine Artist Magazine. The show draws thousands of visitors from the tri-state area.

First held in 1961 with 12 artists, the show was created to support the growth of the North Castle Town Library. Today, the Friends of the Library, its major group of supporters, continue to sponsor the event, donating all proceeds to the Library.

The fifth annual "Art After Dark" preview party will be held on Thursday, September 27th at Swiss Re Corporate Headquarters on King Street in Armonk. This event allows art enthusiasts and show supporters to view and purchase work from last year's award-winning artists. The sailing-themed party will feature a cocktail reception, entertainment and prizes.

This year's show will be held on Saturday and Sunday September 29th and 30th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, rain or shine at the Community Park, Business Park Drive in Armonk, NY. Admission is $7 and parking is free. There are also children's activities and a food court. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

Directions: The show is ¼ mile from exits 3/3S off Route I-684, 10 miles north of I-287 and I-95, 5 miles from the Merritt and Hutchinson Parkways, 20 minutes from the Tappan Zee Bridge.
