Chalk It Up!

The Rye Ridge Shopping Center Invites artists of all ages and all levels of artisitic talent to transform an asphalt parking lot into a gallery of magnificent art in support of the Westchester Children's Museum!

This family friendly event-- in the tradition of European 16th Century street painting-- transforms the dull rear parking lot of Rye Ridge Shopping Center into colorful canvases on pavement. Kids and parents will join local amateur and practicing artists to create temporary chalk "masterpieces" or maybe just some colorful games of Hopscotch!

Budding Picassos and Rembrandts will also enjoy a live performance by Little Maestros, named one of NYC's premiere music programs by the New York Times and NBC's Today Show, interactive activities, face painting, complimentary food, and more...You don't have to be a professional artist or even know much about art, all you need is the desire to have some fun and support the Westchester Children's Museum!

Parents, grandparents, and children of all ages from across Westchester and the tri-state area are welcome.

The Westchester Children's Museum will be a vibrant hands-on learning laboratory where children with their families, caregivers or teachers, can explore the history, arts, environment, and cultural diversity of our local and global communities. FIRST ANNUAL GOLF OUTING, Monday, September 17. Hit the fairway with the Westchester Children's Museum's First Annual Golf Outing. Spend the day perfecting your swing at Bonnie Briar Golf Club's multi-million dollar renovated course, located in Larchmont, NY, while supporting the children of Westchester.

ON THE BOARDWALK MASKED BALL, Saturday, October 13, 2007, 7p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Location: Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club, Mamaroneck, NY

A gala evening featuring a VIP Cocktail reception; Dinner; dancing; live music; and a live and silent auction. Intrigue, Mystery, and a Brilliant Carnivale-- Venetian-style. This year's gala honors Cynthia Foster Curry and Bernard F. Curry, III of Rye. On the Boardwalk Masked Ball, will recall the brilliant lavish Venetian Carnivals where mystery and gaiety prevailed. Guests are encouraged to wear festive Carnivale apparel and will be able to create their own masks at the ball.
