Why is My Beautyberry so great?
A day reading My Beautyberry is like
spending
time at the cosmetic's counter or drugstore. My
Beautyberry reminds you of the things you want
to
try, new items you want to buy or just simply keeps
you in the know. My Beautyberry realizes
that you
are busy with no time to waste; therefore keeps the
reading light.
About the Founder:
I know how precious time is, as I am a mother of
two activity-driven boys. However, I also know how
special it is to take time out of a busy day and read
something that is lighthearted and fun. It is also a
treat to indulge in products that make us feel young,
beautiful and pampered.

Ghouls, Goblins and Count Dracula

Ghouls, Goblins and even Count Dracula will be going
for blood at White Plains Hospital Center First Annual
Halloween Themed Blood Drive, Tuesday, October 31,
8:30am to 4:30 pm.
White Plains Hospital Center (WPHC) will enlist
the aid of Count Dracula and other Halloween
favorites for its first annual Halloween blood drive to
take place on Tuesday, October 31st, from 8:30 AM
to 4:30 PM at the Hospital's Blood Donor Center.
You'll find ghouls and goblins in the Blood Donor
Center as the entire staff will be decked out in
Halloween costumes. Dracula and his gang will be
handing out the typical holiday treats (but no tricks)
to everyone who comes in to donate blood.
"We need your blood" said Count Dracula, Matt
Palazola, Administrative Director of the Laboratory,
who will be dressing as the Count for the event. He
continued, "It's for a good cause." The Hospital uses
about 400 pints of blood each month, for surgeries
and other procedures. Blood is kept for about 35
days. The Hospital hopes the Halloween themed
blood drive will attract a larger than usual turnout of
donors to help pump up its blood supply, which
typically runs low during the upcoming holiday
months.
"We hope by injecting a little Halloween humor
into donating blood, it will encourage people to come
in," said Palazola. "Once they donate, they'll realize
it really isn't that big of a pain in the neck."
Blood donors should be between the ages of 17
and 75, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good
health. Donating blood is safe, easy and fairly
quick. Blood donations take about 30 minutes and
donors receive Halloween cookies and treats after
donating. Parking will be validated.
Appointments are recommended to donate blood
during our Halloween Blood Drive. The WPHC Blood
Donor Center can be reached at (914) 681-1056.
WPHC's Blood Donor Center is open Monday-Friday
(except legal holidays), from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
White Plains Hospital Center is a 292-bed
voluntary, not-for-profit health care organization
with the primary mission of offering high quality,
acute health care and preventive medical care to all
people who live in, work in or visit Westchester
county and its surrounding areas. Centers of
Excellence include the Dickstein Cancer Treatment
center, The William & Sylvia Silberstein Neonatal &
Maternity Center, The Ruth and Jerome A. Siegel
Stroke Center and The Westchester Orthopaedic
Institute. The hospital was recently ranked in the
top 5% in the nation for overall outcomes in 26
medical procedures and diagnoses by Healthgrades,
the nation's leading independent health care ratings
organization. White Plains Hospital Center is an
affiliate of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare
System and a member of the Stellaris Health
Network, Inc.
