"KEEP IT SIMPLE" WORKSHOP SALUTES MOTHER'S DAY:

Westchester Moms Offer Tips for Balancing Work, Family

A panel of mothers from all over Westchester will offer simple and innovative solutions for balancing family, work and everything in between during "The ABC's of Simplifying your Life: Attitude, Beauty and Career" on Wednesday, May 9, 7pm to 9pm, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

The program is part of the County Center "Keep It Simple" workshop series that strives to help you simplify your busy life. This workshop will celebrate every aspect of the lives of modern moms and will provide insight into ways in which you can streamline your life so that you can pull it together at home and on the job and never miss a beat.

The workshop will feature:

  • How to get your family to eat healthy and like it with Missy Chase Lapine, Irvington resident and author of The Sneaky Chef
  • How to travel with kids with Rye's own Lee Woodruff, FamilyFun magazine contributing editor and co-author of In An Instant with her husband Bob Woodruff
  • How to streamline your hair care and make-up with Lisa Mirante of Eastchester, make-up artist for CBS News' "The Early Show," and Hope Belliveau, Master Stylist and Artistic Director of Premier Atelier Salon in The Westchester
  • How to keep your family and career in balance with News 12 Westchester morning and mid-day anchorwoman and new mother Amy Nay
  • How to nurture your career and professional development with career coach and Edgemont mom, Elena Kaspi, President and CEO of Lawscope Coaching
  • How to become your own boss as a private consultant with Amy Curtis-McIntyre, former Chief Marketing Officer for JetBlue Airways and current Chief Marketing Officer for Jimmy John's, a gourmet sandwich franchise with 500 locations
  • How to follow your passion with performer Joy Rose of Hastings, founder and executive director of Mamapalooza Inc., a company by women, promoting mothers for cultural, social and economic benefit, www.mamapalooza.com

The Keep It Simple workshop is hosted and presented by Beth Feldman, co-author of Peeing in Peace...Tales & Tips for Type A Moms and founder of Role Mommy ( www.rolemommy.com), a website that is dedicated to helping mothers of all ages with parenting tips, while urging them to stay focused on their own dreams as well.
